THE FINAL BETRAYAL
There are so many ways you can judge people. So many ways you can satisfy yourself that you know enough about a person to make a valid opinion on them.
In 2012, I was a newbie in the writing world, and I was meeting and connecting with authors from all over the world on the Amazon Discussion Threads. The vast majority of these became (and still are) people I regard as friends.
We built up a network of mutual support... and when Amazon was really becoming too restrictive for the targets we set ourselves, we threw ourselves into the world of Facebook.
With a growing group and an ever-increasing range of skills at our disposal, things were looking positive, to the point where there was even a discussion about how we could utilise our combined talents to set up a more professional front and earn an income from it... but things turned a little sour; not through any one person's actions, but because we didn't quite fit together as we expected.
There was a definitive split, which culminated in myself and a few others setting up an alternative Facebook group.
How little we truly knew about one of our number was a devastating blow.

If, like me, you have supported this person through purchasing his works, reviewing his works, getting him to the top of various e-book charts... you have been supporting a paedophile.
This 'thing' (I can no longer refer to him as a m.a.n.) duped, betrayed and destroyed the life of a warm, trusting woman at a time when she herself needed support... and in a moment where she was at her weakest point, unable to do anything about it, he molested her 5-year-old daughter.
ON THURSDAY THE 17th OF JULY, 2014... KARL JONES PLEADED GUILTY TO THIS ASSAULT IN A UK CROWN COURT. HE WILL BE SENTENCED SOON.
Personally, I feel sick to my stomach... but don't misunderstand; this was one clever cookie...
He KNEW the origianl case against him would be impossible to hide; the possession of thousands of indecent images of children; and so he hid it, very carefully amidst a carefully fabricated web of half-truths, designed to build sympathy and support from those around him. He even got engaged to the woman whos daughter he had abused.
The mad thing was; there were a number of signs in front of us, but we dismissed them because of the stories (the highly plausible stories) he had fed to us.
WHOEVER YOU ARE, WHEREVER YOU ARE... SHARE THIS POST, REMOVE YOU REVIEWS FROM HIS WORKS, DELETE HIS BOOKS, REFUSE TO PURCHASE MORE OF THEM, ASK FOR HIS REMOVAL FROM AMAZON, KOBO, NOOK, B&N, SMASHWORDS, ANYWHERE ELSE YOU FIND HIM.
To the wonderful lady who had to go through SO much over the last year... You deserve so many apologies I don't even know where to begin.
Maybe enough will read this and act upon it. Maybe we can erase this monster from the success he believes he has a devine right to.

You are the lowest of the low, the traitor I once called friend. I have no respect for you. I have no pity for the life you have ahead of you.
My only recommendation to you is to stay SO far away from me and those I know and care about, that I never have cause to hear your name, even in passing, for the rest of your life.
Whatever you use as an author name in the future; however long it takes, I will find and discredit you. You deserve everything that is coming your way.
Don't ever think I won't be clever enough to see you through whatever disguise you create. I underestimated you... I pray that you never, ever return the compliment.
You have made an enemy today.
